Panasonic Chocolate Mug Cake

  • 3 tbsp self-raising flour
  • 2 tbsp caster sugar
  • 2 tsp cocoa powder
  • 1 small egg, lightly beaten
  • 1 tbsp milk
  • ​1 tsp vegetable oil

1- Put the dry ingredients - flour, cocoa powder, essence and sugar - into the mug (or in a bowl if you prefer) and mix together thoroughly.
2- Add the wet ingredients and mix again. Add the chocolate chips and stir to combine.
3- Place in the microwave on high for around 3 minutes – check the cake has risen and is firm. If not, continue to microwave for 15-30 seconds. Remove, leave to cool (it will be very hot, especially the chocolate chips) before diving in! Add extra choc chips or choc sauce to the top (maybe some ice cream too!) Let your imagination run riot!
